The hermit, through memory and thought

The hermit, through memory and thought

"The hermit was a king with a clumsy crown, a priest whose gods he himself had forgotten, he used a lantern in his hands to search for a pantheon already forgotten in his era and a scepter whose pommel is an hourglass big enough to remember your short and ephemeral life"
"His appearance is fragile, limbs thin and long, eyes marked by dark circles and wrinkles. She wears shabby clothes, already in rags reminiscent of her regal past, and finally, a large and heavy crown. He appears to be elderly, with a thin body and a thin face."
In the first sketches I sought an aesthetic closer to the Greeks, reminiscent of an ancient king, from more primal times. As time went by, I thought about emphasizing his priestly aspect.
In the details above I highlight trhee elements that tell the story of the Eremit:
-The lantern between two crows that sometimes hinder and sometimes help the search for truth, thought and memory.
-His studies and journeys are told through objects and symbols close to his feet, on a secondary plane.
-An hourglass whose meaning is revealed in the pendant near the hermit's chest, the astrological symbol of Saturn or Chronos, the god of time.
